The scan
Staff scan the QR code on your ticket. The scanner checks that the code is genuine, that it belongs to this event, and that it has not already been used. If all three hold, you are admitted and the ticket is marked as checked in.
If it is refused
- Already scanned — someone has come in on this ticket. If you forwarded a screenshot, that is usually why.
- Wrong event — the code is real but belongs to a different event, which happens with back-to-back nights at the same venue.
- Not recognised — a cropped, re-photographed or heavily compressed screenshot may not decode. Open the ticket in your wallet instead.
- Cancelled — the ticket has been voided, usually as part of a refund.
Gate staff can look you up by name or order number as well as by code, so a phone that has died is recoverable. Have the name the ticket was bought under ready.
ID and age limits
Age restrictions are set by the creator, shown on the event page, and enforced at the door. If an event asks for ID, bring it — a valid ticket does not override a licensing condition.
Arriving as a group
If all the tickets are in one wallet, everyone comes in together and each is scanned in turn. If people are arriving separately, transfer them their tickets beforehand rather than trying to coordinate a screenshot at the door.
