What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep and send back on the next request. It is how a site can tell that two page loads came from the same person — which is what makes staying signed in possible at all.
Cookies set by the site you are visiting are called first-party. Cookies set by another domain embedded in the page are third-party, and are the ones typically used to track people across the web. Tiqstar sets first-party cookies only.
Essential cookies
These make the site work. They cannot be turned off from here, because without them you cannot sign in or complete a purchase.

Both are restricted to this site, and neither is readable by another domain. Signing out clears them.
Preference cookies

Analytics and advertising
Tiqstar does not run analytics or advertising cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, and no cross-site tracker on this site, in your account area, or in the control panel.
If that ever changes, this page will list the cookie before it is set, and anything non-essential will be opt-in.
Third parties
Two of our partners may set their own cookies, and only in a specific place:
- Payment processors — when you pay, Paystack, Stripe or Flutterwave may set cookies to secure the transaction and detect fraud. This happens on the payment step, and those cookies are governed by that provider's own policy.
- Google — if you choose to sign in with Google, Google sets cookies as part of its sign-in flow. Not using the Google button means not meeting them.
Other browser storage
A couple of things are kept outside cookies. Your browser caches the site's own files so pages load quickly, and we store a small record of which build you are running so we can tell you when a new version is available. If you turn on browser notifications, your browser holds a push subscription, which you can revoke from its site settings at any time.
Managing cookies
Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies — usually under Settings, then Privacy. You can also browse in a private window, where everything is discarded when you close it.
Blocking the two essential cookies above will stop you signing in and stop checkout working. Blocking tq_region only means being asked for your region again on your next visit.
To clear the ones we set without touching anything else, sign out.
