Who pays the fee is your call
Every fee can either be absorbed — taken out of what you receive, so the guest pays exactly the ticket price — or passed on, added at checkout on top of it.
You can set it per ticket type, per event, or once as your default and forget about it. The most specific setting wins.
Either way the checkout page itemises the total before payment. A guest is never surprised by a number at the end.

Questions about money
When am I charged?
Only when a paid ticket sells. The fee comes out of that sale — there is nothing to pay up front, nothing monthly, and free events cost nothing at all.
How and when do I get paid?
Sales settle to your Tiqstar balance, and you withdraw to the bank or mobile-money account on your payout profile. We do not charge a payout fee. Funds can be held while a refund request, chargeback or dispute is open.
What happens on a refund?
The ticket price goes back to the buyer. Payment processors generally do not return their processing fee on a refunded transaction, so that portion may not be recoverable.
Is there a limit on events, tickets or attendees?
No. No cap on how many events you run, how many tickets you sell, or how many people you let in. There is no plan to outgrow.
What do vendors pay?
The same 7% platform fee on bookings made through the marketplace. Booking payments are held in escrow and released on completion.
Do you offer anything for non-profits or community events?
Free events are already free to run, which covers most community programming. If you are a registered non-profit selling paid tickets, get in touch and we will look at it.
