Africa's first mobile-focused game developer conference, spotlighting the continent's fast-growing gaming ecosystem at the Mike Adenuga Centre.

MaliyoCON is Africa's first mobile-focused game developer conference, created to spotlight the continent's fast-growing gaming ecosystem. Hosted at the Mike Adenuga Centre in Ikoyi, Lagos, it brings together game creators, investors, players, and industry leaders for a full day of keynotes, live demos, panels, and community showcases.
Programme:
- Keynote: "The State of African Gaming 2025" with market data and growth projections
- Panel: Mobile-first game design for emerging markets
- Live demo sessions from 12 African indie studios
- Investor matchmaking roundtable (by invitation)
- Community showcase: fan art, cosplay, and tournament finals
- Workshop: Unity and Godot optimization for low-end Android devices
MaliyoCON exists because the African gaming market — projected at $1.2B by 2027 — deserves its own gathering. The conference is deliberately free to ensure accessibility for students, hobbyist developers, and early-stage creators who might otherwise be priced out.
500-person capacity. Doors open at 8:30 AM. Lunch and refreshments provided.
