Open-Air Cinema Night: Victoria Island
About this event
An outdoor screening on the park lawn, with the film starting once the light has properly gone. Bring a blanket and take the lawn, or book a deckchair and have one waiting for you in the front third.
Gates open two hours before the film so there is time to eat first — the food stalls run the length of the north path — and the picnic pods seat four with a low table, which is the difference between a pleasant evening and juggling plates in the dark. Sound is carried on the lawn speakers rather than headphones, so it works with children who will not keep a headset on.
The screening is family-rated and finishes before eleven. In the event of rain it moves to the covered pavilion, and nothing needs to be rebooked.
